Warning after recent burglaries in Beeston and Eastwood |

|
Officers in Beeston and Eastwood have issued a warning to residents following a series of recent burglaries. Over the past month, 16 properties have been targeted in the Beeston area – many of them in the vicinity of Queen’s Road. Analysis of the crime scenes suggests the offender or offenders are deliberately targeting corner properties with alleyway or side access, and without CCTV coverage.
PC William Clarkson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “There appears to be a pattern of offending here which may well be the work of the same person or group of people.
During the same period, 21 burglaries have also been recorded in Eastwood, where offenders have forced entry to properties. Officers are now warning residents to ensure doors, windows, and gates are locked, and to remain alert to any suspicious activity.
Inspector Usha Madaraa, district commander for Broxtowe, said: “Burglary is a horribly invasive crime that leaves people feeling unsafe and insecure in their own homes.
